Subathon Posted November 8, 2022 Posted November 8, 2022 (edited) I'm out of ideas... tested pretty much everything I found on google, so hoping the forum can help. Just set up a new server with the zfs plugin, and created my pools / datasets without issue. I've enabled smbshare and the folders are I can browse the folders from my windows PC when using the samba user/password I created in the unraid terminal. However I have no write permissions. In the "SMB Extras" section I have the following: [TANK] path = /tank/tank (yes, the dataset and pool are both named tank) valid users = connor (created as both unraid and samba user) browseable = yes public = no read only = no write list = connor I've tried other things like adding create and directory masks, public vs private, etc. and all without luck. If anyone is able to help me with this, I'll be eternally grateful. Thank you! Edited November 9, 2022 by Subathon typo Quote
Solution Subathon Posted November 9, 2022 Author Solution Posted November 9, 2022 If anyone's having the same issue... I figured it out. chmod -R 777 /tank/tank (obviously change "tank" to match your own directory) 1 Quote
