November 9, 20223 yr I am suddenly having some major issues with my unraid build and seriously thinking about changing the components from AMD to intel. Anyhoo, thats a subject for another thread. Currently the system is powered on and does not boot or post but and the fans are running slow and then fast. They are fast for about 20 seconds and there a blip of a couple of seconds where the fans go slow and then speed up again. This is happening continously. Nothing has changed or has been touched for ages. I wanted to gauge opinions on what could be the cause for this and how I could go about identifying the problem? I recently was told to disable C States in the BIOS, that is the only change I made because I have an AMD CPU. Apart from that everything is the same. Can anyone help with this?
November 9, 20223 yr Remove the RAM, reset CMOS, power back up (without RAM), assuming there's a speaker connected, do you hear any beeping?
