Arb1ter
To preface this post, I am a complete beginner in this so do forgive me if the answer is obvious. I was following a guide from Unraid when I stumbled into a problem. When following step 4 of the guide to put the file into the etc folder in the prometheus docker folder. I could not have write access to any files from the Docker. I could view them just fine, but when creating new files or placing new data in it I had no such luck. It simply says: Quote You need permission to perform this action I have given my created user full privileges to all files. I can create new files in the appdata folder itself but not in the prometheus file. Is it because my Parity-Sync isn't finished yet or I clicked on a wrong setting? I genuinely don't know. Please help. Quote Link to comment
DigChaos
I'm having the same problem. I have read/write permissions in the rest of the folders in the /appdata folder but for some reason I don't in the prometheus/etc folder or the appdata/grafana folder. I'm trying to follow this tutorial https://unraid.net/blog/prometheus Quote Link to comment
DigChaos
To answer my own question, I guess permissions got messed up during an upgrade. I had to run the "New Permissions" under Tools to allow me to right to those folders again. Quote Link to comment
