Yankton
Memtest86 released a new version recently. Not sure if this the right spot to post it but wondering about upgrading the unraid sticks to the new version of memtest. Wouldn't be surprised if no one noticed, there hasn't been an update in quite a while. Quote Link to comment
remotevisitor
My understanding is that there was a change in the licensing terms of memtest86 which means that the newer versions can no longer be supplied with Unraid, but are free for download from the memtes86 web site; this is the reason why Unraid does not include newer version of memtest86. wgstarks
How would you install and run it on the flash? Is it just a matter of replacing /boot/memtest? Quote Link to comment

Since it's a separate boot option anyway, normally it's just recommended to use a different USB flash drive for the latest memtest. It may be possible to add the new version manually to the Unraid stick, but it's not something I've seen done. 1 Quote Link to comment
