Hi all

This is my first attempt at getting a Raid server up and running and the first time Ive used anything Linux so after spending the last 4 days trawling through the forums, wiki etc I managed to get UNRaid setup on my USB key, setup an array, managed to get unmenu installed (by luck) and then some scripts on that. So all was looking good, that was until I wanted to add the things I actually want on my Raid, Sleep with WOL, itunes server, DNLA for my WD live TV. It was then that help and solutions become sketchy and the forums are very fragmented with varying solutions and ideas that people have put forward but they all date back many years and its all very confusing.

Basically what I want to know is :-

What is the procedure for installing addons? What do I do with the .conf files that people have posted? In-particularly mt-daapd

Ive downloaded mt-daapd and minidlna but all they did was say they were installed but nothing worked! For some reason weebotech said there was very little interest in the itunes addon in one of his posts which I find amazing, there are 5 people who will connect to the server so I want all of the mp3s to be served by it. This is a very popular feature on standard raid systems you can buy but I want to build my own so I can put it in my own case. So I have no idea why it wasnt popular, but saying that I just want it to work.

Ive installed UnRaid 5.0-beta7 and there seems to be no solutions or posts on getting the above things working on it, the old posts for sleep and WOL are out dated and dont work :(

Can someone please help!! :D

You don't need dnla to run WD Live Plus. Just connect to your machine as a mapped drive. Thats how I connect so I don't have to deal with any of the dnla nonsense. ;)

Thanks for that I didnt know it wasnt necessary to have DNLA for the Media boxes, however I do have a Panasonic TV which does use DLNA

But it doesnt answer how to install the itunes server or any of the other addons, all I need is pointing in the right direction of where files need to be placed, I can already edit the go file with no problems and got a few things installed but what I need to know is where to place things and how does the installation process work ie .conf files where to put and wether the itunes server will work with the newest beta.
