1-4 FPS-EXTREME STUTTER-PLEASE HELP!!!

Recommended Posts

I have been using my Windows 11 VM mainly for work and not gaming. Recently I have gotten in to Microsoft Flight simulator. However recently (not sure exactly when or what changed) i have started to get extreme studder. to the point my i7-8700K with a RTX 3090 was getting 1-4 fps on average. Even at the lowest settings. Hell i even put it to old school 640x480 and still unbelievable stutter.

I have read about this issue on other members posts but have yet to find an acceptable solution to my issue. I downloaded latency mon and have tried to get my drivers working properly. but I have to say I really don't know what to do after that.

The only thing that has helped was moving my NVIDIA driver to the Studio version and not the game ready driver. However I am still only getting 10-15 fps on 1080p resolution. With this setup I should be running at 4k or UHD at high settings and still get 30-60 fps. Please any suggestions are welcome.

PS This is my first post so I apologize if I dont get the diag info correct.

Heres the xml to my vm and the diag file

That version of Unraid has problems with the generated diagnostics file, I'd recommend updating to 6.11.5

For the VM, change the allocated RAM to 8GB and see how it performs. I know it's not intuitive, but just try it and see.

Also, verify the the vdisk is actually on the correct physical disk, click on the shares tab, and calculate the domains share and see what disks it's on.
