July 7, 201114 yr normally i would think about getting a 3tb drive until they come down a little i price since it will go to parity i will really only be getting a 2tb for the price of a 3tb. although they are a lot cheaper than when the 2tbs came out. anyway i wouldnt normally consider it but then i saw this one that comes with a sata card, which i will be needing soon anyway: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136764 but what i wanted to know is does anyone know whether this card is supported with unraid? im using 5.0 beta 7 so i thought id try out the larger drive support.
July 7, 201114 yr Well, it appears to be a RocketRAID 62X card. As far as I can discover, the driver for this card is rr62x. This sounds very specific, and I can find no mention of that driver being included in any standard unRAID build. Edit: TimSmall says that the card is based on a Marvell controller, and reports that it is working, here.
July 7, 201114 yr Hate to mention the obvious but two-port SATA PCIe cards should be very inexpensive. $20 should be about the high-end, with some as low as $8 shipped. http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=12404.0
