November 30, 20223 yr Hello, I've upgrade my server from Ryzen 2600 to a Ryzen 4600G and noted that my Aquantia AQC113CS does not work anymore. It shows up on lspci with the atlantic module. Any ideas how to solve this? The NIC works fine on recent linux liveusb. wawi-server-diagnostics-20221130-1451.zip Edited November 30, 20223 yr by João Krawczuk

November 30, 20223 yr Seems 4600G less 8 PCIe lane then 2600 ( may be wrong ), so pls try 1st PCIe slot.

Yes, and updated the BIOS. same motherboard and slot (the only one that the card fits, the x16 one), also tested my old Qlogic, works fine, but burns lots of power 20w+. 4 hours ago, Vr2Io said: Seems 4600G less 8 PCIe lane then 2600 ( may be wrong ), so pls try 1st PCIe slot. It is on the x16 (maybe x8 on this CPU) that is directly connected to the CPU. the other two x1's are connected to the chipset and does not fit the card.
December 1, 20223 yr Community Expert I believe the NIC is x4, so even an x8 slot should not cause any issues, not sure what it could be, if it's possible try reverting the BIOS to the one you were using before, to rule that out.
December 1, 20223 yr Author to roll back the bios, I would need to put the old cpu back, as the one that I'm using now is the minimum that supports the 4600G. I've tried two versions that supports this CPU, the oldest and newest, no change. I've tried the R5 4600G on my old x370 board, but, I'm unable to boot any Linux os on it, it resets itself with the DRAM led error, as it is a really old board it is probably something else. Not sure why it works with the arch usb install image, maybe a newer kernel?

December 8, 20223 yr Author Solution Replacing the motherboard fixed it. the only issue is that the new one uses more power. Note for someone else may find this later. 10Gb Aquantia NIC and Motherboard B450M-K Prime on from bios 3211 does not work on this unRAID version. It may be fixed on newer kernels. Below the logs are completely different on the new Motherboard: [ 19.200218] atlantic: Detect ATL2FW 1030012 [ 33.243008] atlantic 0000:01:00.0 eth0: atlantic: link change old 0 new 10000 P.S. The 4600G AM4 version does have PCIe x16 from the CPU Edited December 8, 20223 yr by João Krawczuk

Hello, my issue was with an B450 board, with the B550 fixed my issue. Try updating your BIOS and moving the card between slots. You can also boot a recent Linux iso( I recommend Arch install iso, console only) and try to check if you have connection or not.
September 5, 20232 yr updated to the latest bios version, without changes. how many pcie cards are you using? my assumption so far is, it's somehow related to pcie lanes. switching the slot did not work - was not able to boot. will try to tomorrow to not use one sas expension cards
September 6, 20232 yr Author I'm using all slots from the CPU lanes. 1 nvme SSD (m2) 1 PCIe card with 2x NVMe SSDs(using bifurcation) Asus/Aquantia Nic. I still have x4 slot, but is connected to the Chipset, this one is free
