November 30, 20223 yr Hello, I am currently trying to use two identical 4TB SAS HDD's for my array. I set one of them up as my parity and the other as my main disk. However the one I'm using for my main disk isn't working correctly. I tried formatting it inside the Unraid webGUI and it says that it has passed but when I try to start the array it says next to the HDD that it is "Unmountable: Unsupported Partition Layout". I've tried using the Unassigned Devices plugin to delete the partitions manually but to no avail, as there is no where to expand the drive to show it's partitions. I read that doing a Preclear on the drive might help but that failed as well. I have included the logs of both UD and Unraid. Perhaps I bought a bad disk? Any help would be appreciated! My system specs are as follows: MotherBoard: ASUS TUF Z270 MARK 2 CPU: Intel Core i5-7400 Parity: H7240AS60SUN4.0T_001423E011JX_PBK011JX Main Disk: H7240AS60SUN4.0T_001423E011JX_PBK011JX Cache Pool: 2x 500GB Samsung 870 evo Unraid Version: 6.11.4 preclear_disk_001423E011JX PBK011JX_6486 (1).txt syslog

November 30, 20223 yr Author My apologies, I have updated and grabbed the zip file that is needed. I should clarify that the reason my parity disk seems to be fine is because it is doing a parity sync and not doing anything unusual. solarsystem-syslog-20221130-2251.zip

December 2, 20223 yr Author Awesome thank you so much for pointing that out! That was the solution. I ran the command on the correct drive and it works just fine now.
