That message means that there was an array operation running when the shutdown occurred but since an Unclean shutdown was detected the plugin will not attempt to restart the array operation that was in progress when the shutdown occurred.    At this point you would expect Unraid to be starting an automatic parity check.because of the unclean shutdown.

the next teboot the parity check started as you described

That is something happening at the Unraid level.   The message from the plugin was purely informative, and after outputting the message the plugin takes no further action.
