hvizdzak
I'm very new. So, I apologize in advance if this is a simple question. My current issue is unraid is not recognizing any of my hard drives. All the ram seems fine. I ran a memtest and it shows all 128GB installed (and I don't think unraid would run without RAM). When I turn on my server, no lights come on indicating that my drives are working. Here is the build of my server: It's a Norcos 16 bay server case Other components: Asus AM4 Motherboard Ryzen 3900X 12 core DDR4 128GB RAM Corsair HX1000 PSU RAID Card (2) Samsung 500GB SSD (8) WD Black 4TB HDD (8) For other context: I have the newest version of unraid installed (just the trial version). I'm able to boot to that and log in on the server as well as the web GUI. This is where I noticed no devices were being found. I can boot to the UEFI menu, but I'm not exactly sure what I'm looking for there I attached an image of my server, as well as the results of the memtest. Is there a test I can potentially run to see if my hard drives are recognized so that I can rule out a hardware issue? Or is there something in unraid that I can do? Quote Link to comment

JorgeB
Both LSI HBAs are being detected and initialized correctly, but no devices connected, check power and connections to the backplanes, do you hear the disks spinning up on power up? Quote Link to comment
hvizdzak
is there a way that I would be able to tell if power is connected to the backplanes? I don't think I hear spinning Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
Check the connections but not hearing the disks spinning up is a good clue. Quote Link to comment
hvizdzak
how do I check the connections? Sorry I'm new at this! Quote Link to comment
hvizdzak
its not a great video, but I took the top off. It doesn't sound like the hard drive is spinning, but they're ssd's. so they wouldn't spin right? im not sure if you can tell by how I took this, but it looks like everything is connected. JonathanM
I'm not familiar with that case setup, but I can't see any power wires headed to the drives. Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
Like mentioned there's no power connected to the backplane: Quote Link to comment
