Weird keyboard behaviour in VM

Hi guys - hope you can help me out. I've been using my Unraid server as a host for several virtual machines. I have a problem with keyboard behavior on the Linux guests (Kali 2022.3 & Kubuntu 22.04). Windows VMs are fine.

When I press the @ key (on UK standard keyboard) - it echos the @ to the screen followed by a recurring ' (same key as @) as if the key is stuck down. In the SDDM login screen the @ key doesn't work at all. I've tried with a different physicla keyboard and different VNC viewers (noVNC / Remmina). Keyboard behaves normally with Windows machines (although I use RDP to connect to these not VNC)

VM config is attached below.

Any ideas?

Thanks

John
