December 7, 20223 yr I'm cleaning up the VM's on my server and making some updates. I utilizing some of the VM's for other services, but want to keep the data from the VM's somewhere on my server. This may be a very basic question, but I'm a beginner. So, please bare with me. How do I move data (files, etc), off of a VM and store them somewhere else on on the server? Do I need to setup a file storage system or plugin? And, how do I get files from an individual VM to a folder on my server?
December 7, 20223 yr The easiest way is to treat your VM's just like standalone machines on your network, and connect them to user shares with SMB.
