RedMoose Posted December 7, 2022 Share Posted December 7, 2022 Hey all, Ive got a server with 8 drives, and I had one die recently. I ordered a new drive, pre-cleared it, and then added to the array to start the rebuild. During the rebuild I had a 2nd drive die. I put a good spare in the machine to replace drive #2 and start the array again. Im pretty sure that I have lost some data at this point and im fine with it, but the issue now is that both the new drive and the good spare are both showing "Unmountable: Not Mounted". I tried to rebuild again and now the good spare has vanished from the list of drives. Im not sure what is the best way to go forward now so that I preserve as much data as possible while getting the array back into shape.
