stupid question, moving files

Featured Replies

I have all of my TV shows in a share called documents. I want to move them into their own share called TV shows. I've created the share "TV shows" but Unraid wants to copy the files over which will take hours/days. The must be a simpler way to move large files from one share to another.

Thanks,

Move from /mnt/user/old_share to /mnt/user/new_share using for example midnight commander and it should move them instantly, as long as the new share allocation and use cache settings are correctly configured.

I'll try it. Thanks
