Hello, I installed pihole and got this error [✗] DNS resolution is currently unavailable, now I want to fix it and I don't know how it says on the internet, but I have to open port 22 first, I have no idea how . I'm a newbie what the needs Unraid hope for help.

If you have installed pihole as a docker on UNRAID, get rid of it fast!

This is not for newbies (this is even not really something for experts, this is just bad thinking)

If you want pihole, get a pi and install pihole on it.

(if it sounded too harsh: "sorry, english is not my natural language")

Short explanation: the pihole docker creates an "chicken & egg" problem. UNRAID needs DNS for bootin already, but Dockers (and therefore pihole too) wont be available until UNRAID is up and the array is started successfully. This leads to massive delays, strange errors and sometimes even to blockades of the boot process.

The pihole docker can be used by any host in your lan, and even local dockers and VMs, BUT NOT FOR UNRAID ITSELF.

(therefor I would say, it is very questionable).

Just ran into this issue, and adding --dns=127.0.0.1 to extra parameters worked. Fix came from:
