December 12, 20223 yr Normally i dont have to reboot my server but today i did. And just like the last time appr. 2 months ago it didnt came up again. So plugin a display to see that the board directly hops into the UEFI. Unpluged the USB Stick, plugged it into my Laptop and it was corrupted. No big deal, i have a backup. The question is ask myself now is: Is there something wrong with the reboot feature in Unraid or is the USB Stick slowly dying. There was no problem reformating it and copying the files to it. Accouring to my License file i use the Stick since 2014. What do you think?
December 12, 20223 yr Community Expert Difficult to say, give it a second chance and if the same happens in the near future replace it.
February 20, 20233 yr Author Okay the Thumbdrives died yesterday, after 9 years. After a Reboot of the Server i tried to install an plugin update which failed because the Stick went read only. A bit strange that unRaid didnt recognized that until i tried to update the Plugins. Nevertheless, a had my spare thumb drive right here, copied a recent Backup onto it, did the Key replacement procedure and was back online. A new USB2.0 Transcend Stick is on the way so i have a new spare when needed.

February 21, 20233 yr Author Yeah seems so. But the stick is definately dead, couldnt format at my Laptop after all.
