I'm wondering if my backup External Unassigned USB drive can be larger than my parity drive?

    Since Unassigned Devices are not part of the parity protected array, their size compared to parity is irrelevant.

     

    My external USB UD backup drive is 14TB and the parity and array data drives are all 8TB.
