System Crashes every couple of days

Featured Replies

Hi folks, I am having some issues with my server the for the life of me can't seem to figure out what is going on. So every couple of days the server will crash and no access to web UI is possible, hard restart is required. I have looked at the logs and there is a ACPI issue that is sometimes logging multiple times a second. My initial thought was this was filling up the log and then crashing the system, although not sure about this. I have upgraded the BIOS to the latest version to try and mitigate this issue with no luck  and can't seem to find a solution. Alos Every day or two the system loses the ability to connect to the internet despite no network changes being made. I have attached some logs, any help would be greatly appreciated not sure what to do at this point.

Many thanks.

Syslog is spammed with ACPI related errors, looks for a BIOS update for your board or it will be very difficult to looks at the logs.

So I've updated the BIOS to the latest and still not resolved the ACPI error. Not sure where to go with clearing out the error, there aren't any specific ACPI Settings within BIOS to modify either.

That's a BIOS bug/problem.

What is the proper route of action for that then? Or how can i stop it from spamming at the least?

AFAIK that error cannot be easily suppressed, you can try contacting Asus support.

No problem looks to be a long standing issues and may be resolved with a linux kernal update down the line. In the meantime however is there a way to change the log level in unraid?
