Flash Replacement, Can't get one to work

Featured Replies

I damaged  my current flash drive (bent it) but it still works. I tried making two different ones today with the USB Creator tool, neither one will boot, says it is not a bootable media. One was a Duracell 4GB  and the other a OCZ Rally 2 8GB.

Is there a trick too it? Are not all flash drives supported?

It might be worth trying the steps listed here to make the drive bootable in the manual method for making a flash drive.  I have heard of the USB Creator tool not always doing this step properly.

That did the trick. I had to manually paste in the key file also. That automated process failed with an Error (5)
