squidly
Anybody try the VIA PC-1 dev board, 60 bucks shipped. super low power consumption. C7-D CPU and CN700 and VT8237R Plus chipset that should support SATA2 unlike the VT8237. C7 processor should be supported, chipset should be, how about the onboard LAN? Has anybody tried this? I'm really looking for low-cost, low power. Not concerned with speed since it's typically supporting one client at a time for backups or serving dvd library. I just want some storage redundancy at a low price and low power consumption. Quote Link to comment
WeeboTech
I think I read here recently that it did not work on that board. Do some searches. I did get it working with an AMD Geode processor and a few add in cards. http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=1456.0 Quote Link to comment
sirwired
How low of a power consumption do you have in mind? Some of the modern mainstream processors and motherboards don't suck down too terribly much, and are less expensive. SirWired Quote Link to comment
