December 20, 20223 yr I've got a 3TB data drive thats slowly getting pending sectors. My setup is 1 parity and 5 data disks. All are 3TB except 1 data which is 2TB. If I buy a 6TB drive can I swap it to the parity drive and use the existing parity disk to replace the failing one, without causing undo hardship on the failing drive and making it die? Or should I do the data drive first before doing anything else? Unraid 6.11.5 Edited December 20, 20223 yr by mightyball
December 20, 20223 yr Community Expert The failing drive doesn't even need to be present for the parity swap procedure. Have you studied the documented procedure? Attach diagnostics to your NEXT post in this thread.
