Folders appear empty through NFS after updating to 6.11.X - Had to restore to 6.9.2 to see them again

Featured Replies

Odd. After updating to 6.11.X from 6.9.2 (I guess I missed the 6.10.X notification at some point), while data (shares and their contents) seems undisturbed, accessing any subfolder across shares from my Windows 11 machine where drives are mapped leads to seemingly empty folders. After panicking for a moment, I restored to Unraid v6.9.2 and all files are visible once again thankfully however I would like to update to the latest and greatest Unraid has to offer. Has anyone else experienced any issue of this kind and perhaps have a solution to propose? Tried a few forum searches but no luck finding a resolution so far.

If any additional info is necessary, please don't hesitate. Any and all feedback is welcomed!

Your subject line says NFS but then your text talks about Windows and doesn't mention NFS. Are you sure you don't mean SMB?

I think some had permission problems after upgrade perhaps because they were more strictly enforced. You might try Tools - Docker Safe New Perms.

Thanks very much for the quick response trurl!

You are absolutely right, SMB, not NFS through which the content was still accessible without issue, apologies for the confusion.

I'll upgrade the version once more as well as run the "New Permissions" tool after work today and report back here with the results.
