December 25, 20223 yr New and looking in the manual but cant find the info. Thanks and Merry Christmas!!
December 25, 20223 yr Community Expert System is where docker and libvirt images are stored. Appdata is the default for docker run files, i.e. config etc. isos is for iso images for VMs
December 25, 20223 yr Community Expert And domains is the share for your VM vdisks. Ideally, appdata, domains, system would be all on fast pool (cache) with none on the array, and configured to stay on fast pool. If these shares are on the array, docker/VM performance will be impacted by slower array, and array disks can't spin down since these files are always open.
February 15, 20242 yr Anyone know what it said in the old manual? Links broke & nothing shows up in the new manual. I accidentally deleted my system share with zfs master & just trying to see if its a problem or not. Thanks https://docs.unraid.net/search/?q=Default Shares

February 15, 20242 yr Ok figured it out its a geo block on my router (get around it if I use a VPN) which means the search servers are in russia or china or the IPs have appeared in a block list. Edited February 15, 20242 yr by dopeytree

I just started at the Documentation link at the bottom of this page and drilled down. I'm pretty familiar with how it is arranged. You can also access the current documentation from your Unraid webUI by clicking the "manual" link at lower right
February 15, 20242 yr Nice thanks. I've been checking and submitting updates to the new docs. Just couldn't get the search to work but as above was an IP block preventing it. It would be cool to write a few lines of code that take any old link and put the terms into the search bar. I'll have a look into it. Keep the knowledge alive in the forums.
