Unable to connect to Unraid server on a local network

Featured Replies

Guys,

I have been using my unRaid server just fine these past months with no problem. I updated to the latest update and now I can't access my unRaid on my local network from my Mac or Windows machine.

Any help would be great.

Are you accessing it via an IP address (e.g. 192.168.x.x) or via a domain name / suffix

(e.g. mytower.myhomenetwork).  IP addresses can sometimes be re-assigned by your

router (or ISP modem/router) on reboot which perhaps might change the IP.

If you are using a domain name, do you have a DNS that knows how to redirect it internally?

Does that need to have it's IP updated?

If your server is using static IP than that shouldn't be an issue.

Are you using My Servers service?  (if so, that's a bit outside my experience).

Yes, I am accessing it via an IP address (192.168.x.x) and I have it signed to the same address every time it boot up it never changes.

I did ping the address and it did reach the ip address, but trying to access it on my local network it will not see it. I have tried on a Windows 10 and a Mac computer and it used to work.

I am not sure that My Servers service. but I am guessing it I am not using it.

I tried downgrading the previous version and it didn't work.

I am able to hook up a monitor to the server and log into the system itself.

I am not using a domain for the server.

Are all these on the same subnet as your server?

What is the IP address of your server, and of the computers you are trying to use to access it.

I don't want to post my ip address here public. Can I email or text you the ip address of the server? I do appreciate your help.

Local LAN addresses can be safely posted as they give away nothing that is private about your system.
