oldfart
I have a docker (vaultwarden) split over 2 disks (/mnt/user/appdata/vaultwarden) how can I get all the data onto 1 disk and ensure it stays there? I need it on 1 disk, so I can run a script to back it up. Can I - just move the data onto one disk, then delete the data off the other? Should I make a new share, set to only one disk, and move all the data onto that Will any of the above break the docker? p.s. Tried making a new share and moving all the data onto it - that didn't work - lost all the users! So put it all back. Edited December 27, 2022 by oldfart update Quote Link to comment
JonathanM
Shares, click on the "compute" link on the appdata line, then take a screenshot of those rows, including all the columns in the appdata row from the left to right, like this. Quote Link to comment
oldfart
My appdata share is the default - automatically split any directory as required. tried a new share, that didn't work if i alter the appdata share, will maybe break the docker Quote Link to comment
oldfart
Just cleared all my data, so all that's on the drives are VMs and docker files Quote Link to comment
Solution JonathanM Posted December 28, 2022 Solution Share Posted December 28, 2022 If you stop VM and Docker services, so the menu items no longer appear in the GUI, you should be able to use Dynamix File Manager to move all the appdata folders onto a single disk. Then set the split level to manual, and it should stay on whichever disk you put it, and you can re-enable the Docker and VM services. Quote Link to comment
mathomas3
I had this problem this year... The way I figured it out was creating a new disk pool(2 ssd) and moving everything to that pool... this way dockers will run quickly but also have redundancy builtin... something to look into Quote Link to comment
