Random System Shutdowns

Featured Replies

Good morning,

I recently set up Unraid on my older PC (Ryzen 5 1600, 16 gb ddr4 ram, old video card) and the system is randomly crashing.  Logs don't show anything, no MCEs besides some initial ones a few days ago:

Dec 26 09:46:10 UNGEWVER kernel: mce: [Hardware Error]: Machine check events logged Dec 26 09:46:10 UNGEWVER kernel: mce: [Hardware Error]: CPU 8: Machine Check: 0 Bank 5: bea0000000000108 Dec 26 09:46:10 UNGEWVER kernel: mce: [Hardware Error]: TSC 0 ADDR 1ffff81c0016a MISC d012000100000000 SYND 4d000000 IPID 500b000000000 Dec 26 09:46:10 UNGEWVER kernel: mce: [Hardware Error]: PROCESSOR 2:800f11 TIME 1672076743 SOCKET 0 APIC 5 microcode 8001138

I have run a memtest and it passed. Logs are attached from local syslog.

My system crashed this morning, going through the logs, the only thing not showing in the diagnostics folder is:

Dec 28 03:40:01 UNGEWVER  crond[1253]: exit status 1 from user root /usr/local/sbin/mover &> /dev/null

I'm thinking I have a hardware issue but I can't find anything that would be indicative.

Thanks in advance!

@JorgeB Thank you for the quick response! Looking at my bios i don't see an option for Power Supply Idle Control.  I did disable cool'n'quiet (which was enabled).  Should I also lock voltages to their default values?

Nevermind; for anyone else who finds this, ASROCK C-State options are in AMD CBS/Zen Common Options
