December 30, 20223 yr Hello Bob, yes, its ok! if was used for two years, i think you can use for around 3 years without issues, if is a good quality brandmark. Put two parity's if you dont have on your system, this will improve your security against data loss, but as everyone says here, you need to do backups outside the unraid, nothing is 100% guaranted
December 30, 20223 yr BTW i used my lasts 2 tb and 1 tb seagate home user disks for 8 years until death! but before drops totally they warning a lot.
December 30, 20223 yr I have been using 8tb drives for a while now... no failures in the years I have been using them... even renewed ones... Just my 10 cents
