Resetting the array and starting from scratch

Featured Replies

I configured my array using my hdd as my disk 1 drive and my m.2 as disk 2.  I would like to switch these because the loadup on my server is so much faster using the m.2.  i just started the array and have nothing im willing to lose. I searched but came up empty on solutions. Aside from getting another flash drive (which im willing to do) and start over... im not sure i will be able to reformat the drives again to start fresh. My bios didn't even list my hdd in the secure erase option so i would like some help if anyone can.

Is there a good reason you put the SSD in the main array rather than having it set up as a pool outside the array?    That would be the normal way to use a mix of HDD and SSD drives.
