July 16, 201114 yr I've been happily running UnRaid as back-end to my Popcorn Hour A-110 for a while now. Last week I picked up a Patriot Box (PBO) to play with as I needed something to use with my other entertainment centre. These things are dirt cheap ( $35 after MIR ), so I figured not much to lose getting one. I've only played with the authorized firmwares and with no customization, the device does its job fairly well. I've had a few issues (more annoyances), like subtitles coming back on any time the movie is paused and then no way to jump through your movie listings ( so I have to hit page down dozens of times to get deeper in the alphabet ). The only real issue I have is that it cannot play IMG files , which I find extremely ironic that to update the PBO's firmware, I had to save an IMG file to a USB drive! About 15% of my collection is in IMG format (300+ DVDs), so I've been slowly converting them to ISO's using UltraISO. What I am looking at doing next is installing one of the custom firmwares to try and get a more use friendly interface, much the same I do with my PCH ( using YAMJ and the AEON custom skin ). Hopefully someone else here also has a PBO and a PCH. What I am looking on advice on is: 1. What PBO Firmware would you suggest 2. If I need to run 2 separate instances of YAMJ 3. Can the PBO make use of the images (poster and background) and the NFO file that I created for my PCH Due to me having so many DVD's, having to create separate NFO's (or whatever the PBO might call them) for each title would be a very time consuming task (unless applications like YANFOE can generate them for me with batch processing)
