July 16, 201114 yr Was shopping for a Norco 4224 and saw that this board is offered as a package deal. Was wondering is this board is compatible with unraid, and what other components I should look at getting if I wanted to populate all 24 bays and use it strictly for storage.
July 19, 201114 yr On the surface it looks like a great unRAID board. However, before committing to it you should search these forums for the NIC (Marvell 88E8056) and see if there are any known problems with it. If not, then go for it! July 19, 201114 yr Author That combo deal is the exact reason I posted this question . In searching it looks like there are a couple people using that NIC, with no problems. I may just have to pull the trigger on it.
