January 12, 20233 yr I have unraid setup on pc tower and I plan to move it to rack mount server can I just copy all my appdata over to keep All my configuration or do I have to start from scratch. Thanks
January 12, 20233 yr If you move all your storage drives and boot USB you won't need to change anything, providing neither machine uses hardware RAID. VM's with hardware passthrough may also need to be changed because the passed through hardware is different.

You need to provide what is going to be done with present server, what new hardware is being acquired, what new Unraid licenses (if any) you are getting, how much data you need to move, what is the current configuration (plugins, Dockers, VMs), and what will be the proposed new configuration.
January 13, 20233 yr Author okay i have my dockers installed on one unraid and i want to have the same dockers on a different unraid system can i just install the dockers and copy all docs and config files across and dockers work. i hope this explains a little more
