anunraiduser7
I disassembled my server to add two cables additional SFF cables onto my four port card so I could wire up a disk shelf eventually, and now none of my drives are showing. I've re-seated all my cables to make sure I didn't just bump one loose, verified the LSI HBA controller is detected by UNRAID, and still no disks detected. I've combed over syslog and some of the diagnostics but can't find anything. HBA card model is LSI 9305-16i HBA detected: Jan 18 23:13:35 big-chungus kernel: mpt3sas_cm0: LSISAS3224: FWVersion(09.00.100.00), ChipRevision(0x01), BiosVersion(13.00.00.00) Diagnostics are attached, because I'm at a loss. Any help or ideas are appreciated! big-chungus-diagnostics-20230118-2333.zip Edited January 19, 2023 by anunraiduser7 Quote Link to comment
trurl
Can you see the disks in BIOS? Quote Link to comment
anunraiduser7
I had the amazing idea of building this server on an ITX board, meaning my one PCIe slot is dedicated to the HBA. And the motherboard has no video output unless it's using a Ryzen APU. I'm guessing my only options are either: move to another motherboard (for more PCIe slots so I can connect a GPU and my HBA) so I can get to BIOS / HBA Card BIOS on boot or get a Ryzen APU to slot into the current motherboard so I have video so I can get to BIOS / HBA Card BIOS on boot Quote Link to comment
anunraiduser7
I guess this is what I get for trying to quickly re-assemble my server at midnight. I had plugged the SFF to SATA breakout cables into the SAS ports on my case's backplane. After a very sleepless night, I swapped them over to SATA. It's now working. Easily the stupidest mistake I've made in a few months... Quote Link to comment
