Hi,

 

I have spent some time reading this and other forums trying to find out if my mobo is compatible with unraid, it seems it is except im not sure on one thing and that is if it has HPA enabled.

I am getting a usb stick tomorrow so I will try the boot test but will this tell me if HPA is enabled? Sorry if this is a daft questions but im a bit of a noob!

    Yes, you'll find it in the BIOS. If you are setting up it would be a good idea to restore factory defaults and see if the HPA is disabled by default as a dead motherboard battery may wipe everything back to default.

    According to the manual, the Gigabyte GA-EG41MFT-US2H has "Backup BIOS Image to HDD" listed as Default: Disabled.
