Networking problem 4.6

Featured Replies

Hi, got a problem with networking on my unraid server, its only come on recently. It is happening both from my windows 7 pc and a machine running XBMC live, using unraid via smb

I cannot play or open anything and the server is very slow to respond, sometimes 10 seconds plus trying to view a folder. that green bar at the top of the explorer window crawls across the page.

this does not seem related to any drive, it can even happen accessing the flash drive.

i've copied files from the disks to dev/null and got around 40-50MB/sec on the 5400 drives and around 100MB/sec on the 7200 so seems unlikely to be a drive issue

trying to copy on a windows machine locks up and then gives me the error "The specified network name is not longer available"

rebooted my router as well.

syslog attached. any ideas?

Cheers

i think it was sometime around when disk1 went kaput. i replaced it with a new drive that crapped out during rebuild, removed it, wrote some more to the system whilst it was unprotected and i was waiting for a new drive. think i saw some issues then with hangups. had a few DMI Pool Failures during boot as well, gigabyte motherboard so that can happen at any time anyway...

after rebuilding with a new drive, i think this is the first time i've gone to use it.
