July 21, 201114 yr I just started manually moving recorded tv files over to my unraid server but I noticed that they are not showing up as recorded tv in mce. After a little investigation I found that Windows is complaining that it cant index the share so it cannot be used for recorded tv. Is there some sort of setting that I can change or way to fix this so that I can move all my recorded shows to my unraid server and have them still show up in the recorded tv portion of MCE?
July 21, 201114 yr I have a script that moves all my Recorded TV to my unRAID every night. I access that share on 4 different Windows 7 computers. I didn't make any changes to either the share or my desktops and all of them can see everything on my unRAID share.

I'd be interested in seeing the script you're using and am curious if it's unraid server side or win 7 client side. I had the notion that media center could become unhappy/index files could get messed up if recorded tv files were moved without using the media center interface to delete the shows after they were manually copied somewhere (the method I've been using). Also I figure you added the unRAID share to your win 7 client(s) media center config (media center settings,tv,recorder, media libraries, add folders to the library)?

After a little more investigation it looks like the recordings show up and play fine. It's just that for some reason windows explorer is grumpy. Since it seems to be working I'm just going to ignore it and move on.
