I just installed unraid 4.7 on an atom system which has gigabit ethernet (and so does my router and pc).

 

I'm getting a transfer speed around 500-600kB/sec which seems VERY slow?

 

The parity sync is in progress (84,967KB/sec), might this be the cause of the slow speeds?

    Yep. After the parity sync completes the write performance should increase significantly.
