Besides having a bigger parity drive to allow bigger data disks, is there any benefit to having a bigger parity?

I think the answer is no but I'm not 100% sure on this, say you have a 8tb parity and 4x2tb data drives.

Does the parity still only protect one data drive failure or will it protect all drives?
