February 2, 20233 yr I am having issues on multiple unraid servers accessing newly created file share under smb. Using windows explorer on Windows 10 or 11, it won't show the newly created folder. When creating these new shares, it is not shown as smb public. Am I missing some configuration steps? bk-act, bk-sql, bk-wks are the new folders. catower-diagnostics-20230202-1247.zip
February 2, 20233 yr The SMB Security Export setting determines whether the share is visible and/or accessible. Setting Export to 'Yes (hidden)' will hide the share from browsing but is still accessible if you know the share name.
February 3, 20233 yr Solution The default setting for a new share is Export=No which means it is not accessible via the network. If you want it to be visible you will need Export=Yes.
