Disk randomly change id at reboot

Featured Replies

Hello, I have a problem that happens only sometimes, when I turn in my server some disks may change IDs and so are no more recognised as the array disks and the array doesn't start saying it's missing the hard drive. The hard drive is showed up in the unassigned devices with a different id.

I have external usb3 jbod with 4 disks connected with USB-c.

If I reboot again the server there is a chance that they get they're id back and the array starts.

Thanks

That's a known issue with some USB enclosures, and one of the reasons we don't recommend using USB for array/pool devices.

Ok I understand, but this was my only solution to attach some drives.

Thanks
