February 4, 20233 yr I installed the transmission_vpn docker container on my unRAID test server. I wanted to verify that my PIA creds were working and everything, so I got a bash shell inside the container, ran "curl icanhazip.com" and I indeed got an IP that was not my home external IP. Great. However, when I exited the docker container, I did the same curl on icanhazip.com, and I got that same VPN ip address. Mind you, I was at my regular unRAID root prompt, I was not in the container. It wasn't until I stopped the transmission_vpn container that I returned my normal IP address. I was kind of under the impression that the vpn would only be running inside the transmission container. Is that not the case? When I'm running tansmission_vpn, does it run my entire unRAID server through my PIA VPN? Edit: Maybe I was looking at the wrong place, I've rebuild the container, and it seems to be behaving now. Edited February 15, 20233 yr by paqman
