February 5, 20233 yr Hello, I´d set up an SSD only completely new UnRiad-Server and have a strange SSD behavior... In short over a 10GB-Network i get around 350 MB/s read speed from my Kingston DC450R which supports up to 560 MB/s (official specs). I thought thats a little bit low so i hooked up a Samsung 870EVO 1TB SSD today and from that i get around 510 MB/s over the same network... The rest of the server: https://geizhals.de/?cat=WL-2923167 The kingston SSD has the newest aviable FW. So is my Kingston SSD just bullshitting me or is there any extra setting i can try out ?? Worst cas i need to switch from 7.68TB Kingston SSD to 4TB Samsung SSD´s. But i have a hard time to believe that this "read-optimized" data centre SSD from Kingston is so much slower than a consumer one from Samsung. Thanks in advance! Edited February 5, 20233 yr by dam_j
February 6, 20233 yr Community Expert If the tests are being done using the same conditions it suggests the Kingston is just slower.
