February 9, 20233 yr Hey all, Just want to showcase my current server. Previously I had one of the mid-range Qnap NAS drives but thought to give Unraid a chance as I wanted to host some game servers. Love it so far. It's not only faster but it is much quieter as well! SPECS: Intel® Xeon® CPU E5-2687W @ 3.10GHz x 2 64 GiB DDR3 Multi-bit ECC RAM 10GB NIC Cache pool Samsung SSD 850 2TB x2 Samsung SSD 870 1TB Storage pool Parity - 12 TB Disk 1- 10 TB Disk 2- 10 TB Disk 3 - 10 TB Disk 4 - 12 TB Disk 5 - 10 TB Disk 6 - 12 TB Z840 only have 4 bays for HDDs so I have this 4 Bay thingie to house 3 extra drives:
February 16, 20233 yr Hi, How loud are the fans in this? My Unraid server has to sit in the spare bedroom so don't want anything too loud in case someone is sleeping over! Thanks.

February 17, 20233 yr I've bought one, hopefully wont be too loud! Same processors as the OP's but only 32GB RAM!
