Hard Drive Red X -  Followed Procedure to Assign Drive - No Box To Check to rebuild drive.  Please advise.

I started the array after following steps outlined to replace a disk.    The instructions said there should be a box in the Array Operation area.  Did not see a box.  It look like it rebuilding the disk. ( I hope)  Looks like it going to take a long time.  Also, now the disk is being written to and then makes a noise.  The disk pass pre clear so I do not know why it making a noise.

Will I be able to use my unraid while the disk is being rebuild?  I notice it said that the old disk was being emulated .

Yes, performance will be slower though.

Looks like a power/connection problem, check/replace cables and try again.

Okay.  I power down and used another power connection to Disk #4.  What steps next?

Oh thank you very much.   There was a few steps missing in the information I had at first.  This wiki information  covered the process a lot better.
