Hey Unraid forum, I tried Unraid and love it =)

But then i got an error:

Linux 2.6.32.9-unRAID - "exportfs: boxee has non-inet addr"

Boxee is a share i made, that much i know, but i can't access my data now.

I was told that i could remove the drives from my server and put them into an ubuntu machine, but when doing this i just says:

You do not have the permissions necessary to view the contents.

How can i get permission to access my data? Hope that some of you super users can help me =)

not sure what that error is about the share but the other issue is a permissions issue. someone correct me if im wrong because linux isnt my strong suit but you need to change the permissions with chmod. also if you make any changes to the drive in ubuntu and then put it back in the machine you will probably have to rebuild parity.

chmod and chown are the two commands you need to change permissions but as bobbintb said if you play with the drives on another PC then parity will be out and could cause issues with getting the array back up and running.

Yes, so long as you get the correct drive assigned as parity then you will be fine.  Take a picture of the main screen with all the drives assigned and print it out so that you know what drives are assigned where.

Do I have to put in the parity and disk1 harddrives or just 1 of them? (I only had those 2 drives in my server)

I solved the problem, just downloaded the 4.7 server amd put it on a new usb-drive and booted up whit the 2 drives in a new machine and now i can again access my data =)

I just have to get 2 quality usb-drives so i can buy 2 licenses for the full version, love this software =) yhx for the help, is there a guide for the chmod that has to be run in ubuntu if I ever need it?
