Hard drive and USB failure

Featured Replies

Hi,

Over the weekend I had one of my 1.5TB drives fail. I have gotten a new one to replace it but upon shutting down the unraid server it didn't start again.

Turns out the USB stick has died as well.

The issue I have is the backup I have of the USB stick doesn't have the config for the current drives.

I have included screen shots of before and after the shutdown.

Is there anyway to tell unraid that disk4 and disk5 are the correct drives and just to rebuild disk2 (the failed disk)?

Thanks in advance,

David

If I just delete/rename the super.dat file then put the drives in the right order will that work?

Anybody?, really desperate to try and get this up and working again....

If I remove the super.dat file it shows all drives as blue and I'm guessing if I start the array will do a parity creation but will NOT recreate the data on the the failed drive (disk2)

Any suggestions on how I can get this back up and running?

Assign all of the drives correctly. Then search for the "trust my parity" procedure.
