Crash during share backup to local computer

Featured Replies

Just had a hard crash after unraid running for almost 5 days after initial setup.   Server back up after reboot and parity check (no errors reported).

Crash  occurred when doing a backup of a share on the Unraid server to a backup disk attached to an M2 mini on the local network.

Running a very basic configuration on a 2008 vintage PC.   No VMs, dockers; only plugin installed at the time of crash was Fix Computer Problems in addition to CA and Myservers.  (note: had installed FCP plugin a few hours before the crash and had made some changes suggested by FCP).

PC config:  Intel core 2 duo 2.66Ghz cpu, 4GB ram 1Gib NIC

Unraid array: 1 x 5TB parity HDD + 3 HDDs;

cache pool: 2 x SSDs 512GB

Diagnostics file attached run from the the diagnostics tool after recovery from the crash.

Would like to understand the cause before putting into real world service.

Appreciate any help.

Syslog in the diags starts over after every boot, if it happens again enable the syslog server and post that after a crash.

Ok.  I just set up the syslog server for local capture on system share (cache).   Would like to redirect to a Windows or a MAC OS machine so trying to figure out how to do that.

Easiest way is to enable the mirror to flash drive option.
