Cache SSD Swap, Gone Wrong ?

Featured Replies

Hey guy,

I recently swapped my 2 x 256 SSDs of my cache pool.

By following the steps below:

  1. disabled Docker/VM
  2. emptied out the Cache Pool via Mover
  3. stopped Array
  4. swapped SSD
  5. assigned new SSDs to Cache Pool
  6. started Array
  7. moved data back
  8. enabled Docker/VM

Everything seemed fine.

Today I added a new HDD to the array and I noticed the following:

The WD SSDs have been 250 GB and not 500 GB and if I hover over the X it is saying, that the device is disabled and contents emulated.

How can I fix this ?

Unassign both cache devices, start array, stop array, re-assign both cache devices, start array.

Must the cache pool be emptied beforehand in relation to data preservation

or am I doing it just as it is right now ?

You can do it as is now, it will keep any data and import the new pool.
