Win11 hella slow, is this normal?

Hi all,

 

So I have spun up a new VM on my unRAID box, for clairty without a GPU assigned.

I gave it 26 cores and 16gb RAM, but its hella slow. 

Like trying to run an app, it just hangs for awhile and then does something.

 

It is running on a m.2 NVME SSD too.

 

Could the molassis performance be because it does not have a GPU and so required cpu rendering? 

If so I'll get a cheapo GPU and stick it in, just dont want to waste money if I dont need to.

 

Or if I have something else wrong.

For clairty I have:

Xeon Gold 6148 CPU @ 2.40GHz

64GB ECC DDR4

on a 10gb link
