Qbittorrent problem

Featured Replies

Hey guys,

I use container paths for Qbittorrent.

I added a new disk to the array and when I changed the container path to it Qbit just doesn t move the files there.

I used to have:
Container Path:    /Movies
Host Path:     /mnt/disk3/Movies/

And now I have:
Container Path:    /Movies

Host Path:     /mnt/disk5/Movies/

It works great on the other categories but not on this one since I changed the path. The path is correct.

This is mostly a guess but qbit isn’t going to know anything has changed. The files were in /Movies in the old configuration and they are still in /Movies with the new configuration. Qbit can only see the container path so doesn’t see a change.

My guess is that you could easily correct this using something like rsync to copy the files to the new disk. You might also post on a qbit forum and get a better answer. There may be some way to get qbit to move the files.

It is not clear to me what is not working!   Are you saying that new downloads that should be going (at the qBitTorrent level) to /Movies are going somewhere else other than disk5?  If so where are they now going?
